Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is the publisher of the Bonjour Cécile service, available at bonjourcecile.com. For any question about your personal data, you can write to contact [at] bonjourcecile.com.

What data we collect

When you use Bonjour Cécile's services, in particular when you sign up for our communications, we collect your email address. If you choose to provide them, we also collect your level of French and the exam you are preparing for. These last two items are optional.

Why we use it

This information is used to provide and improve Bonjour Cécile's services, to send you the communications you have subscribed to, to adapt our content to your level and to keep you informed of changes to the service. It is never sold, rented or shared for advertising purposes.

Legal basis

Processing is based on your consent, given when you sign up and confirmed by a validation email. Measuring the opening of emails is based on separate, optional consent.

Who has access to your data

Your data is processed by our technical service providers acting on our behalf: Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), a French company whose data is hosted in the European Union, for managing mailings; and our hosting provider for making the site available. It is not passed on to any other third party.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you are subscribed to our communications. As soon as you unsubscribe, your address is removed from our lists.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, and to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, write to contact [at] bonjourcecile.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe at any time, in one click, using the link at the bottom of each of our communications. Your address is then removed immediately.

Measuring the opening of emails

If you agree by ticking the box provided when you sign up, our emails contain a tracking pixel and tracked links: they tell us whether you have opened an email and which links you have clicked. We use this information solely to improve L'écho de Cécile (choice of topics, level, sending time). This consent is optional and separate from your subscription: without it, you receive exactly the same content, and we only measure opens and clicks in an overall, anonymous way. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to contact [at] bonjourcecile.com, without unsubscribing.
